We didn't expect the sale of our home to be easy to meet our expectations. The seller's market was hot (March, 2021). However, we were under no pressure to sell such that we wanted to get top dollar. We really felt like part of his team as he navigated the pros and cons of different homes and neighborhoods that matched our expectations, and equally fell within our budget. In the COVID market, finding a home to purchase without getting into a bidding frenzy was challenging. Walter was in tune with our “must have” and “want to have” lists, as well as our desired location. Walter also has a great team working closely with him, thus allowing instant access to information and questions. We avoided getting caught up in bidding wars by discussing with Walter the current market value of the area, as well as the likely going rate, in consideration of the current seller’s market. We then set limits on a desired property. Thanks to this strategy, we were able to avoid a bidding war, and stayed within our set limit on the house we ultimately purchased.
